Hey i was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me please, when im driving along once the car is warmed up and i goto accelerate, the revs drop right down to 0 then shoot back up to the revs the car was previously. feels like the car is jerking/juddering along, almost like its stalling but then cutting straight back in.
was wondering could this be due the induction kit that has been fitted gulping in hot air? or could it be the clutch on its way out?
cheers for help in advance guys

if it was a electronics fault would it not do it all the time rather than just when the cars warm? where abouts should i check connections and ill have a look at it now,

the air filter is brand new on, and there is no ecu lights or any lights at all up on the dash. ill go have a butchers now make sure all pipes are connected,

all pipes appear to be attached fine. think i might resort to putting the original airbox on see if that sorts it out?

the original airbox is now back on, i think it could be electrical, when in neutral and rev the car, it gets up to about 5k then cuts down to nothing again. and keeps doing it as if i was revin the car up and down, but my foot is in the same place.
when i try to even pull away the car just cuts out all together now. these little sei's are great when working but they seem to be extremely temperamental. becoming some what annoying now if im honest.

carefully check the small vacuum pipes off the inlet manifold, in particular the one that goes to the map sensor next to the ecu

if you have induction kit, did you block off the old pipe that attached to the original air filter housing/air valve

Yup, thats my guess too. Make sure you block of the correct one. There are two very close together but are actually in different parts of the induction.

i have now got th standard air box back on and its still giving out the same problem, should this not have resolved that issue?
cheers for your help guys.

i dont think they were taking off when the kit was initially put on, have u got a pic so i know exactly what to check please.
lol its been my day off work and ive just been getting stressed over this instead haha :(

the bit? the how to or FAQ? lol sorry to be a pain in the arse, but hopefully ur going to be a life saver, haha cheers bud

read somewhere else, but could it be the crankshaft sensor or pulse generator? i know that the car recnetly just had its head gasket done, and also got new plugs and leads put on,

Unlikely to be crank sensor -- usually they will either cut dead or misfire. No idea what a pulse generator is.

Check the hoses, check the throttle cable has plenty of slack, check the rubber nipple on the end isn't doing anything strange (you can cut it off).

If that doesn't work, check for other air leaks, clean the idle air valve.

If you don't know what you disconnected and connected when removing the airbox, then I'm sure its a missing vacuum connection.
