just a quick one, have searched and looked through guides, cant find the torque settings for a cinq 900cc head, the haynes manual doesnt have them in!!!:mad::mad: what a joke

cheers if ya can help

sam:confused:

lol they do, they have it 3 stages and obviously follow the order haynes tells you to do them in found in 2A.8.

Then the torque is spilt in 3 stages (found in page 2A.1):

1 - Torque them to 30 Nm or 33 ibt ft
2 - Angle tighten through 90 degree
3 - amgle tighten through a futher 90 degree.

When i done it , i didn't have a angler guage, just kinda guess how much is 90 degree.

Thanks
Ming

cheers for this, i read the haynes manual through about 10 times, it doesnt have the torque settings anywhere near the pages where the 'replacing/refitting head' chapter is? it has the tightening sequence which i followed

i remembered after posting this thread i had downloaded a program by haynes that tells you all specifications and things you need to know about any car. this program said that you need to do it in 4 stages, 20nm, 40nm then 90 then 90 again, so they are tighter than youve said so should be ok:confused:

and i also guessed 90 degrees lol but it is properly tightened up so its all good i hope:)

cheers for the help

sam
