hey there!! so my 1.6 eco diesel has been sitting around while i pass my test and unfortunately the battery died which i then have taken out and charged all well was good until i opened the door and not even interior lights came on,no radio no dash lights no nothing however it cranks easily just no power i have looked online and only found things like main fuse blown or power relay could of blown but have no idea what i am looking for any ideas guys? others say could be fuse link? or a diode? i need help on locating and to know the actual cause of my problem thank in advance and apologies for the bad gramma

First - are you sure you connected everything back to the battery correctly? No missed cables?

i think so.. 4 on positive the two biggest sit on top of one another and other two can only go in one way.negative side can only fit one way i believe.

i am replacing both 70 amp MAXI fuses incase either one are blown or damaged...really hoping whatever the problem is hasn't affected the ECU.

Try this..take a piece of wire.. and run it from the battery negative to the ecu ( just touch the ecu's metallic body)... while somebody touches the wires, someone else should check inside if any changes.
THIS is only a test ..should tell you if the ECU has a good ground.
