Hi all, thinking I might change my battery before it catches me out in the cold. Nearly 6 years old and still going, but no doubt expect one day it just won't play ball. So the intention is to swap it out.

Question is, what for? There's a Magnetti Marelli (sp) one in there at the moment rated at 60ah/420a. I'm not too concerned of the physical size of the existing battery but does anyone know what size battery the tray/strap/etc can actually take? 175x175x240ish?

Ta!

I went to the battery dealer once and he went through the catalog to check the dimensions and polarity of the battery, compared the sizes and it was a pure fit.on my first Bravo I just took the car to Fiat dealer and they replaced it with original spare.

I just had to replace mine as I had the radio on whilst cleaning it and it flattened the battery :( Had to get jumped off! The battery was the original so about 5 years old.
I got the Exide Premium Battery from ECP for £65 and fitted myself.

Was it a type 027 battery? The exide premium is the one I'm looking at.

I just replaced mine from halfords with their standard battery which their catalogue number is hb096 for my 1.9 120 multijet. 74.99

Sorted :) Exide Premium type 027 fitted perfectly. £54 delivered so all in all I'm happy.
