hiya i have a 1.9 multijet 150.iv just changed the pollen filter and fuel filter.the next day i go out to get some oil when the air bag failure came on. Any ideas? and is it a mot failure?

Hi mate and WELCOME TO THE FORUM

The only way your going to know what has triggered the air bag warning light (and re set the light) is to hook the car up to diagnostics equipment such as Multi ECU Scan or Fiat Examiner.

The airbag failure light being illuminated IS an MOT failure unfortunately.

Its important to note, that whilst the light is illuminated, your airbag may NOT trigger in the event of an accident, OR may trigger unexpectedly (rare). Therefore its important to rectify the issue ASAP.

Hope that helps,
Alan

If its a red warning light you cant reset it with Fiat ECUScan.

Never had an issue with mine. Yours is registered and you are using the correct cable I take it

Well its an ELM327 interface which is supposed to do everything, I am sure i read as well that there were some warnings (mainly red light ones) that Fiat ECU Scan can not do... Obviously I was wrong!
