Do they make a bravo with HID's as standard..

Just want to know how the system works. As in does it have auto levelling suspension or auto levelling headlights? Im guessing that would be as simple as a tilt switch for the auto levelling.

Washer jets as well would just like to see how they look on the bravo. Are they just little jets on the front or do they extend out on a arm like the golf?

cheers

so it has the washer jets that physically come out of the bumper to wash the headlights.. So whole new bumper if i was to change it over..

looking though the headlights are exactly the same, lens wise.. without having the auto levelling circuits..

I think the standard bumper has blanks where the machine guns.....err sorry, the headlamp washer jets emerge.
Might just be a case of removing them and retro-fitting all the gubbins.

Yes, the whole bumper is different from the normal one, the water bottle is different, there's an extra pump and a whole lot of wiring. it's not possible for you to install the headlamp washers unless you have a lot of time and money to waste.

The Xenon headlights are completely different from the normal one, the projector is bigger and it's completely different at the back. the motor must be different too because on the xenons the main projector goes up and down very quickly when flicking the high beam.

You can buy the standard xenon lights and install them, that will be a lot better than converting the poor-spec ones to HID (better visibility, better high beam, autoleveling) but you have to forget about the washers.

The headlamp washers are activated when you turn the main beam on and wash your windscreen, they then pop out and wash the headlamps for about 2 seconds. That means that it probably requires a computer upgrade as well if you can even manage to find and install all the parts.

ps: Charnwood Fox is wrong, that little thing is for towing the car. the washers flaps are not present on poor-spec bumpers.

auto leveling - very,very difficult
you need sensors for load
one on the front , an another one at the rear suspension

installation of xenon with fulfillment of legal requirements is almost impossible (very expensive)

No, that's the hole for the tow hook, IIRC... If you notice, you only have that cover on one side of the bumper...

About the HID's, the headlight is where the auto-leveling occurs... The projector is the only part that moves, everything else is fixed. Also, the washer deposit is bigger (5L, IIRC) and the headlight washers only work when the lights are on.

IMO, if you want legal HID, is better to buy a factory fitted car... It's a royal pain in the a*se to get it done properly later...

I'm sure the sensor for the autoleveling is inside the headlight.

For example, put your luggage in the trunk - how will work this sensor in the headlight?
In eLearn are described the elements of the system and how it works.

I didn't check the elearn, but I assumed the sensor was inside the Xenon headlights because I have installed normal headlights in my car and they're not autoleveling anymore despite the fact that normal headlights have the electric motor inside.

You have sensors both in the back and in the front, IIRC... There's an ECU monitoring them and controlling the headlights... At least that's how aftermarket systems work, the factory can't be very different from that, it's the same principle...
