Hi , Help Question regarding Fiat Bravo 2007 armrest. Can this be fitted as a aftermarket option, on cloth seats. Looking at a Multijet Sport but comes with cloth. Trouble is the t-jet that have been pre registered and loaded with extras have this arm rest.
On the leather they fit it as standard with chiller compartment. Is this going to be in the too difficult box????

:bang:

Very easy to retro fit the armrest, unless you want the A/C to cool the box, in which case it becomes much harder, not really worth it in my opinion.

There is a thread on here (on the first few pages somewhere) that has photo's, part numbers and the lot. You can order cloth in various trim colours, or you could order the leather if you wish.

Make sure you get all the parts though, including the storage box. If you dont the hinge wont work on the armrest itself.

Really easy job, if I can manage this one, anyone can(y)

Good luck!

To be honest, the armrest in the Bravo is a waste of space, you can't use it, it's too small.

In my GT the armrest was huge, in my Mrs Golf, it slides back and forth so that you can tailor it to your needs, in the Bravo, it just sits there, inanimate, totally useless................

I agree it could be bigger, but having not had one and then fitting one myself I do thing it is an improvement. I don't know if you ever saw a Stilo armrest, but they were far to big when folded down. Could hardly change gear!:bang:

It provides a usefull storage space that covered (i.e. coin tray) and it is nice to rest your elbow on it, rather than the horrible little tray thing that is there otherwise. The top does slide a little fowards to move it a bit closer if you want. I see it as non intrusive but always there, as opposed to either folded up or in the way like some (MK4 Golf / Octavia, Stilo etc).

Personally I'm very glad I bought mine and would recommend it. All mid size cars up should really have an armrest as standard.

If you can have a good look at one that comes standard, see what you think and decide whether it suits your needs or not.

Hi Mikey and others thanks for the info. The dealer has agreed to install it within price. (y) Hopefully they can do a pucca job.
Soon to be owner of Maerati Blue 165 Sport, heated seats, sail cloth 18" alloys.
Can't wait.

I have fitted an original armrest in my Bravo 1,4 120ps, and I found it too low. I therefore made a new top in the folloving way. I made a form in a plastic bag, and used a can of building foam, the one used for fitting windows, shaped it with a knife, dressed it with leather, fitted it on the original armrest, and now I have a fantastic armrest.

Is it only cars with leather seating which has got arm rest in the UK? The reason for asking is that mine 1,6mjet Dynamic 90bhp was delivered with cloth seats and comes standard with arm rest and cooling box!

Hi Got my Bravo Multijet 165 Sport.:yum:
Dealer (SGM Southampton) (y)fitted arm rest and cooling box as part of the package/deal. Find it more than enough and isn't too big to get in the way. Got cloth top matches seats. Cant understand why they dont fit as standard. Trying to get my head around some of the quirky Fiat ways. Thats not me being critical just an observation.

you do realise you can slide the lid on the armrest forward about 3/4 inches or so... i found it when messing is quite hard to move at 1st :)

makes it good when motorway driving as i can rest both arms level on the door arm rests and the centre armrest and hold steering wheel comfortably (y)

also the drinks storage is a good idea as i love a bottle of chilled lucozade sport i can open up after having the air con on for 10 mins and driving into town or somthing

I am new to the forum, l have a 1.4 bravo dynamic, it was the arm rest with the chiller box...but like am missing the bit of trim that covers the hinge at the rear of the arm rest...does anyone know where l can purchase this?? I have failed so far
