General cruise control by Bravo Sport

stilos i'd like to thank you for the information
today was the big day for my T-JET Bravo Sport
i made the wiring as they are in the pdf and it's just works perfect
thanks a lot

You are welcome.;)
I've already installed cruise control to a lot of bravo. As I see, all 120 T-Jet (Dynamic) bravo were prewired.
150 T-Jet, 1.6 Mjet, 1.9 Mjet's aren't prewired. With 2.0Mjet I've no experience. After wiring installation all work properly.

The 2.0Mjet Sports have cruise control in the UK, well mine does and I never ordered it as an extra.

my 2007 T120 came with it already installed :D

mind you the previous owner hit the options trail, it also has automatic lights and wipers :D

I'm wondering if the auto lights and wipers can be retro-fitted...
According to the eLearn CD the sensor for rain is underneath the rearview mirror attachment so I might see if it's there by default on all cars.

It sure is, and the is a lump on the dash for the light sensor.

I tend to leave the wipers in auto setting, but at present I am using the lights fully on - country lanes being restricted to dip is not my idea of fun (n)

So... from what we've learned about the cruise control (i.e. functionality is in the ECU already), all that's needed is the correct stalk??

yup, that and possibly the wiring if its not already on the car, same as the stilos and alfas really

I took the the steering column cover off of my T-Jet Dynamic this morning and it has the white connector, so off I went to my local Fiat dealer (my first time there). I explained what I needed and after about 15 minutes he told me that I cannot purchase this part on it's own, it has to be fitted by the dealer, and it would be more expensive than having it fitted from new. I went home and twenty minutes later I had bought one off of ebay for £115. Expensive but a lot cheaper getting the dealer to fit it. I just need to fit it and see what happens.

Hi,

Any good news ??

Cheers

Hi,

Very good!

I fitted the the cruise control stalk and it works perfectly. The only problem was that the lower steering column cover is different if you have cruise control, this meant that I had to cut the cover.

Hi,

Is there any way to buy CC equipment and its cover from trustworthy internet sites? Here in my country authorised Fiat garage, asks £ 280 (720 Turkish Liras ) for it. If I can buy £ 50-100, I will be able to make it install £ 40-60. Equipment+install will cost me almost half. Regards.

You could check some second hand 147's offices that are selling parts from their cars after a crash. I found several for ~50 euros in my country but I gave up to install it since my dealer refuse to do it (they claim that the car is not ready :bang:) and I may loose my 5 years warranty... :(

Hi,

You can buy the CC stalk on the Italian ebay site for about 140€ but not the cowl ...

Cheers

I took a look Ebay-Italy but no Bravo cc exist. I don't rely on Stilo or Alfa CC's because of compatibility.. This is critical. Any fault of cc might cost lives.

The stalk is just a basic switch and only provides a mean of turning on or off (and speed, etc but that follows the same point).
Any actual "safety" or logic part of the CC is done in the ECU - it wouldn't override how it behaves when you press the brake or clutch to disengage.
