Hello again! Does anyone have info on the interscope sound system that is available as an option in the new Bravo? Any specs available?

Does this interscope have to do with the 8 speakers and how they are aligned or does it refer to the whole brand of the soundsystem?

Thanks again! (y)

Depending what country, in the UK it isnt available yet as far as i know.
Here is a small bit of info i found on the system

An interesting Hi-Fi system known as the interscope sound System', It comprises 8 speakers(2 tweeters and 2 woofers in the front and rear door panels, a 100W subwoofer and a 30W amplifier), It employs a particularly sophisticated technique to process the sound, developed with SRS Labs. What makes the sound experience on board the car really unique is the fact that the new system uses SRS 3D, Focus and TruBass effects simultaneously. The first method (3D) spartially equalises stereo reproduction, exploiting the position of the speakers and improving the spartial perception. The second method (Focus) raises the sensation of listening to top speakers positioned higher than they actually are, and improves acoustic efficiency by adjusting the frequencies perceived by the human ear. And finally, the third method (TruBass) extends the perceived frequency field towards the Bass, enhancing the effect of the subwoofer so that the listener feels he is listening to a system that produces extended, very deep basses. The result is a more enveloping sound, which recreates a correct stereophonic effect even for listeners who are positioned some away from the symmetrical axis of the speakers (as in the case of the car).

I'm also pretty sure that this option isn't available if you have Blue&Me, as the Interscope system utilises the microphone used for Blue&Me for background noise cancellation.

Well i certainly hope so.
I ordered a Bravo m-jet 150 and checked the options:
Interscope HIFI System, (order code 4JF).
Blue&Me (order code 4J3 + 5BH).
Parking censor (52B).

The order is confirmed from the factory, and the car is to be manufactured in week 3.
They didn't mention any incompabillity between Blue&Me and the HIFI system, but maybe they haven't checked the order-details...

We'll see when the car arrives.

The 500 brochure I've just received also shows both available together. It shows Blue & Me as standard on the Sport and Lounge models with the Interscope system as an option on both models.

Well I've been proven wrong. I did look at the possibilities of a retrofit, but with rivited speakers, and the need for a different rear wiring loom, I'll give it a miss :p.

Got the car this week and it is fitted with the sound system and blue&me, so everything is ok.

When I ordered my new Bravo last week, the Interscope sound system is not listed as an option on the ordering system!

As far as i know its only available as an option in other countries except ours of course, at the moment :bang:, unless anyone knows otherwise, mind you not that i could aford to by it even if it was available now:(

Thank you Blue Bravo this was very informative. As far as sound technology I am way off line. I live in Australia and it is an option for the 500L. I will and I will add it to my order. Cheers Rod Bennett
