Just wondering if anyone can help me with this.

The bravo's mot has expired (2 days before christmas  ) and i'm just getting a few jobs done before the mot (little things like adjusting handbrake & changing the front panel that holds the radiator up!).

Now everything is done but i'm getting a creaking noise from the rear drivers side suspension/wheel arch area. I've had the car on the ramps and can't see anything obviously wrong & nothing looks worn (although there's lots of rust on everything).

Spoke to my brother in law who's a qualified grease monkey and he rekons its probably the rear anti roll bar, but tbh i can't see what could be creaking as its solid mounted to the trailing arms? are there any bushes for this anywhere and can they be renewed or would i have to fork ou for a new bar?

Also if it is the rear anti roll bar how do I get it off, it certainly doesn't look as simple as the haynes book of lies tells me!

Cheers in advance

Phil

the rear antiroll bar does not have rubber bushes that can be replaced, however in the first pic i have added a red arrow to the point where noise usually comes from (number 1 is antiroll bar). try loosening off the 2 bolts and greasing where the bar touches the mount to see if it affects the noise.

in the second pic you can see all the spare parts available, notice a lack of rubber bushes for the antiroll bar (they arent used).
