I'm on a tight budget and need new door handles and would really like the white light bulbs you see on cars. I had a look around and the door handles are a pain since most scrappy's have them but the rubbers have worn.

I found these on Ebay, does anyone know if they will fit and if they are worth what the seller is asking? They look like they have the plastic surround so there's no chance of the rubber cracking.

Also, my brother got white bulbs for his Fiesta, I like the look and wanted some on my Bravo, I also found these on Ebay, they are cheap which is good but can I expect much from them for that price? And I don't know if they would fit even though it says for Bravo's, is it just as simple as unplugging the old ones and plugging these in?

The handles will fit but if i were you id look for some of an old marea. These are fully plastic and dont have the rubber which will perish. Best thing is to search on ebay for fiat marea breaking and there is a few and just ask about the handles. Then you can spray them what colour you need.I got a set of 4 for my brava off ebay for 25 quid so look around.

As for the bulbs id always go for osram nightbreakers they look good in marea polys too!

I saw these the other day and asked the seller if he could supply a part number but I don't think he speaks very good english, he would only confirm that the handles fit on the Bravo.

I recently ordered a replacement handle from another ebay seller which appeared to have a plastic surround, but upon arrival it seems that it's actually rubber - just looks like hard plastic when it's new that's all. I think this might be the case with the handles you've seen here. The part number for that one was 46787583.

Saying this, it takes a good few years for the rubber to deteriorate, and apparently it's cleaning products that kill it - if you were to fit these and look after them then they'd probably last a good 3 years+, and how long do you expect to be running this car for?

The bulbs should be a straight swap if they're H1's, just don't touch the bulb surface with your fingers, use a clean cloth or a piece of kitchen roll. The oil from your fingers can affect the bulb.

Thanks for the great post Joe, The car will be probably lasting me 3ish years, do you know of anywhere I can get handles cheaper or should I go for these? Since I can return them if they don't fit and they are described as brand new condition.

As for the bulbs, even though they are cheap, they should be fine? They have a 6 months guarantee but knowing my luck, as soon as that's up they'll go ::bang:

I'm really getting tired of looking at the handles atm, they look horrible with rubber removed and cracked, I got new sidelight repeaters and an aerial so I think it's just the handles and I'm happy with the outside then.

Can you get some scrapyard Marea plastic handles? Mine were £20 for all 4, including removcal frm the Marea. You may also be able to find some the same colour as your car already. I also agree with the advice to get decent branded bulbs, never had any luck with cheapies

About the door handles, I think I'll try my local scrappy's but instead of asking for the bravo, ask for Marea plastic ones? I only need Front Left and Front right so I might have more luck with them since many scrappy's did have Bravo handles but the rubbers had all worn on them.
