Hi my 140k bravo JTD has just developed a strange noise coming from the drivers front wheel area. It happens only when it's rolling, engine on or off, clutch in and out. It sounds like a clunk or creak, I replaced the wishbones a month ago and the anti roll bar drop links are a bit worn, but everything is still there and connected. I've had a good poke around and I just can't seem to see the issue. It doesnt make the noise if I jack up the front and rotate the wheel.

Any ideas please? I thought maybe CV joint but there doesnt seem to be any regular pattern to it (if i roll the car forward it may do it 3 or 4 times, if I roll it back again it may not make a noise, and likewise if i roll it forward again!)

Cheers

Pete

hmmm, make sure things like wheels are bolted up tight... A good way to see movement in suspension etc is to put it under load. have someone put the hand brake on, in gear and let the clutch up to biting point until the car wants to pull away. whilst you observe, (remember safety though) leave bonnet up and observe engine too, may be a mounting.
I would be looking at those roll bar links, then at subframe bolts and engine mount.
