Just wondering if anyone knows where to attach the top strap of a child seat in a Brava. Its not ISOFIX. In my Uno there is a little bracket on the boot floor that you attach the strap to. I cant find anything like that on my Brava.

I get the impression that they aren't common in Europe. In Aust and NZ they are required (you get a fine if its not fitted).

They go from the top of the seat (above childs head) and extend towards the back of the car. Directly behind the middle of the seat there is a ring (looks kind of like a lugage strap clip) its either on the floor (for hatch backs) or the parcel shelf for sedans. My Mum has an SUV and they are on the back of the seats. I think some cars have them on the roof.

As i said my Uno has one on the floor next to the spare wheel on the left side of the car, and since we get UK spec FIATs I kind of hoped our Brava would (I think our old mk1 Punto had one). I think they became common around 1988 or 1989 since my '87 Uno doesnt have the clip but my 1989 one does.

My thinking is that maybe they stopped using them around 1995 but down here in the colonies we are a bit behind.

I guess I might just need to drill a hole in the floor and fit my own (interestingly enough the seat came with the kit to do this).

by the way I like your picture :) we have a couple of Sedicivalvoles regularly turning up at our club events :) they go very well.
