Hi all, when accelarating (more than you normally should) my car seems to pull as if i pushing the brake / handbrake and then accelerates again, its not a major problem that annoys me but just a problem that is worrying me because i am going on a 6 hour journey sunday and wondering if it is safe! Please Help! I have changed the fuel filter yesterday coz sum1 said it was that, but no joy!

when you say "pulling" you actually mean it hesitates under load. that is often caused by weak ignition so spark plugs and HT leads would be things to check, and replace if they have not been replaced in line with the service schedule.

well a diesel cant have ignition problems obviously so that ruels that idea out.

on a diesel the hesitation is usually due to overfueling.

overfueling can be due to several things. first thing to try is spraying the MAF sensor with contact cleaner, then try cleaning the EGR valve and its pipework.
