Not tried everything but voice dialing, phone rington, caller ID, contacts download and SMS reader all work so I would say everything will work.

You are saying that the message reader also works? Thanks your efforts. ;)
Yep it most certainly does. Didn't work for me the other day but I tried it on the way home today whilst I was reading your post and surprise surprise it worked. Was quite a surprise as I've never had it work before!

That's a great news. That's the first WinMo phone OS that works with Blue&Me message reader. I've really hoped Microsoft developed the new OS to have full compatibility with its own car OS system. (y)

Yep it's good. WinPho7 is pretty darn great IMHO :)

Thats, really good to hear as I'm looking to ugrade present phone but really love SMS reader.

Which phone are you using windows software on? Vodafone are offering HTC Trophy and LG Optimus 7.

It won't matter which phone, the OS is exactly the same on all and Microsoft's hardware requirements should mean that they all work exactly the same.

I swapped my iPhone 3GS to the new HTC HD7 with Windows Phone 7..
It's a super sweet phone..
I reckon it's better than the iPhone (got bored of it)
I tried it in my car too..
First deleted the phonebook and users that were left behind from the iPhone and then paired it with my HD7.. No problems.. Phonebook transfered. Only issue is that facebook contacts and windows live contacts are all mixed in my phone so it's a huge list now in my car..
On that note I'm really happy with the overall bluetooth experience. Haven't tried the sms feature though...

Now one major thing I got used to on B&M is using my iPhone including the adapter to listen to music.. especially Spotify was my major music source. (Never had to sync music with my pc.. Never had to keep a large music library in my pc)

On the new HD7 I have to use Zune which is an amazing software after you get used to playing with it. I has big potential, especially with the zune passport..

But I can't connect the phone over USB to listen to music!!
whywhywhy????

anyone had any success with that? It charges. But in the Media Player menu it always says NO MEDIA FOUND

Gonna play with it later again, hopefully a major  comes through

It's because the phone software doesn't have this feature yet. I guess this feature will be included in an upcoming update (along with copy&paste). Also, I would assume that an app for WP7, or a Blue&Me update would make this work. But updates for Blue&Me coming very slowly, so I'm sure you will see some kind of update for the phone sooner.

Yep. Basically Microsoft have released the phone early and rather than release features which simply don't work very well, they've cut down features to get the phones out on time and working well with the featureset they've got.

I really like the phone and a lot of people at work (I'm an IT technician) think it's a good phone.

The most important thing for me is for multitasking to get sorted. You can get a 16gb usb stick for not much these days so I'd just chuck all my music on there, it'll mean a lot less plugging and unplugging and it'll work just fine, never quite understood why people use phones with B&M tbh.

I reckon the feature to connect a WP7 device to Blue and Me and listen to music on the device through the car's speakers won't be coming for a long time, if not at all. I researched a bit on this, and since Microsoft is such a big company, the sector that works on the Windows phone software probably doesn't even know about Microsofts embedded service. They are just focusing on the Live features.

Multitasking should definitely be on their priority list..

I used to just keep a USB stick in my car for whenever my iPhone didn't want to connect to Blue and Me.. But all the issues weren't there anymore and I deleted all the content..
Since I now only listen to streaming music services (spotify and Zune) My harddrive has no music at all
I'm gonna have to start ripping music again and copying to the usb stick.

It would be much easier if Blue&Me would finally have A2DP feature. I don't understand why this function is still missing from Blue&Me. I'm sure the hardware is ready, it just needs some work on the software side. Originally Windows Automotive software has this feature, it just seems that Magneti Marelli and Fiat have decided not to include it in Blue&Me.

Sadly streaming is not an option for me. When I'm at work I struggle to get a voice signal let alone a 3g one and when I'm at home I've got a PC full of music so it's not needed :)

Blue&me runs Windows Mobile so i'm certain the WinPho7 people know about it as it will be the same division. I'd wager it's very similar to Ford Sync and if it's possible I'm sure Microsoft would do it. Whether it is and when it will happen is another thing altogether.

Only time will tell. Additional functionality would be nice but I'm just happy with the sms reader working now!
