Hi all, my car is due it's 18000m service and been quoted £350. Does that sound about right?

1.4 petrol.....service intervals every 9000 miles first one just a check (£50)next one full service and so on....

Just mine then, 12, 24 etc. But £350 sounds a bit steep to me

It was paid for by Fiat due to initial problems with the car right from day one, it with Arnold Clark who tried at the first service to add costs for me to pay but when I asked if these extras were part of Fiats recommend services they initially said no so I told them they were never instructed to do them so I wasn't going to pay. After I checked myself I found out they were indeed part of the recommended service, I put a formal complaint to them via Which as I am a member and they eventually offered a extra 2 year warranty at half price which I took.

As a side note my wife has the 500 pop which we will change soon but will never buy from these guys again.

There was a website for years named arnoldclarksucks.co.uk. they have a shocking reputation.

I really hope that for your £220 more is done than oil , oil filter and spark plugs ,as per the picture of owners hand book.

It's one of those, I'll pay for now as it's new things. Also for oil, air and pollen filters plus oil change and brake fluid change, the materials would cost me about £130 so I take a view that for a car, I'll pay £90 for someone else to do the work and save me the bother... however for my push bikes and motor bikes, I always do the work... it's a Zen thing ?

That's looking better , was bit shocked by lack of info on what is done in drivers hand book.
Fingers xed they wash and vacuum it too.
Motor cycle ? me too , bit old school , last of the pre VTEC vfr800i , just need to get out on it more often. (I didn't want a VTEC one)

RSVR Mille, can't beat a V Twin, 'tis a thing of beauty and of course Italian. VFR is great, very smart engineering, single sided swing arm and all.

Wow rotax do fine work.
Big v twin sounds the business.

Yes, second generation with the pointy styling, had the stock bike, loved it and swapped it for the R, magnesium wheels, Ohlins and the Rotax has been bomb proof, think they're in KTM's too, some lovely welding under the covers and on the swing arm too. Had some Akrapovic Ti cans, but got too old and sensible, no need to be shouty and alert the Bobbies to your presence, stealth is king ?
