Great to see another pastel grey 500! I was looking at manual too but found a dual logic demo for less than the manual. You get yours in west melb?

Sorry I didn't see your first post but glad you got some responses... So far my experience has been great. Just booked first 15k service (bought end of oct), the sport button helps when not wanting to race but improve the responsiveness and I use when getting on a freeway etc, manual you may not need it so much.

Best colour you could have got,it varies so much, sunny days it's light grey, then deep grey in the shade and so much more.

Personally I'd love a different exhaust but there are times when I drive economically and love that it's quiet. :)

It's more efficient than the gov sticker! I have been testing full manual with sport mode in and I have successfully managed to maintain 6.1l per 100km doing urban driving. So if I had a manual I am sure I could get better.

Only mod I have done is add windshields by G3. I really want to change the seat though! I'm 6.2 so I find I am getting a sore neck leaving forward to see traffic lights. Hoping recaro have one that will fit.

It's amazing the things it packs in such a small package, these cold mornings aren't annoying for the frost on mirrors. Just hit the rear demister and it defrosts the side mirrors too!

When do you get it?

500 I have seen with the most kms was 260k or something and was still $8000 sold quickly.

thank u
i end up getting from cough cough um sssshhh
caroline springs.. felt like i needed to carry a handgun with me lol

yes the colour is really cool, its different and i like it

glad to hear yr response regarding the car has been positive. I really need to hear that, as unfortunately people feel the need to reinforce the fix it again tony aspect

as for the exhaust not sure what to get, as im a girl i dont want anything to loud, and as for the seat hight well dont need to worry about that as im little

i bought the car today, and pick up wed next week

this windshield by g3 did a quick search and found nada, what is it and is it beneficial or look cool lol

isn't window tinting illegal?

isn't window tinting illegal?

I suppose it does depend on your region. Window tinting isn't illegal. You cannot tint your windscreen of course, that's a no no, but other windows are fine. Some police don't like overly dark tints. Being from Australia, tinting is almost essential to block out heat and reduce sun glare- the first thing I do when I buy a car is to have the windows tinted, will be doing the same for the new Fiat.

I never felt the need to ever have any of my windows tinted in my cars. I think it's a cultural thing, the tinting companies get to charge you craploads to tint your windows and the fact that people do it convinces people that they need to do it.

Don't completely agree with you on this Maxi. When it's 35C outside and the sun is blasting through my drivers side window I'm very grateful for tinting - I don't think the cost is 'craploads' the average cost for high quality tinted film fitting is the equivalent of about £140, with a lifetime warranty. Dealerships will gouge you for it as an after market accessory that's why I take the car to my local tinting outlet. Don't think it's cultural either, just a preference. Once people have tinting they miss it on cars that don't.

You forget that I lived in Australia for the first 26 years of my life. Sunglasses are far better and can be removed when it's dark or raining.....

Tinting tail lights is illegal I believe...

Caroline springs... Haha Yep!

I have found the darker windows to be nice on the 500s (as standard) but got burnt more this year driving than ever before so I will be happy tinting my windows for sure. Sunnies will still be needed, and you can't go more the 35%light blocking so it's not Toyota Kluger privacy glass dark either!

I didn't tell anyone I was getting the 500, but I looked at the micra and fiesta etc but no comparison for fun and similar price.

Tinting has little impact on safety and visibility in the wet or at night... I have no hesitation to recommend it

Tinting to the max allowed shade (35% visible light transmission here in Australia, I believe) does reduce visibility somewhat at night. But you learn to work around it, or just roll the windows down if you need to see better.

You can't legally tint the windscreen or front windows on the 500 in the UK - they are already tinted very close to the legal limit.

The front side windows must allow 70% of the light through if the vehicle is to be used on public roads.

I recall a post from a professional window tinting company saying that even a sheet of clear clingfilm reduced light transmission by enough to push the 500 over the limit.

Ok interesting ... It's a must here in Oz I'd say, light is much brighter here and winters not so severe so more freedom to tint windows here I suppose
