Styling Volare blue with tan interior

Thank you for your persistence in bringing your post back on focus - and for updating us with progress.

I understand you were worried about speccing ivory trim and leather seats. With the benefit of hindsight, are you happy with your decisions?

The main reason I dithered about the leather was more to do with the expense, but once I'd bitten the bullet and decided to pay the extra I've been very happy with it. The seats on my lupo became very worn - sun faded with holes down the side and generally tatty looking, the leather, even with the bulge problem still looks like new. I do like the colour choice, however had there been a cream or ivory leather option I would have chosen that by preference.
With regards to the ivory trim again I'm very pleased with it. The car feels bright inside, I've not noticed the wheel becoming grubby either which had been my biggest concern (I do keep some leather wipes on hand just in case).
The combo I picked does seem to be a female choice if that makes sense, the majority of men on here don't like the tan leather option, but the women do.
Colour choice and spec is so subjective, but I'm still very happy with my decision :)

Sad times...

I think my beautiful car is being written off. A speeding car zoomed out of no where and accelerated into me while I was crawling out of my work staff car park the other day. My car was certainly visible to both directions, I don't think he was looking at the road as he suddenly swerved out from behind a row of parked cars about 50 yards away from where I was. In town, on a long 30 stretch.

I'm absolutely gutted

Condolences, FloJo.

On the positive side, the car has done its job and kept you safe.

Personally I wouldn't want it back after a side impact as severe as that; better to start again and move on.

Do let us know if we can help you with sorting out the settlement.

Indeed.
I've just been to test drive a twingo; it's a nice car and drives well, is nippy etc but something [for me] is missing.
I am now probably going to get another 500, but find that I'm not all that keen on the new 500 styling! If I don't get another volare then I am considering a very low milage one in the previous styling in white with a view to getting it custom wrapped in a completely different colour. Who knows

So sorry to hear about your 500 :( absolutely gutted for you. Did you have gap insurance? I'm debating whether or not to but situations like this fill me with absolute dread!

But changing the tone, I have a new 500 TA in Glam Coral with a few nice extras currently on order. I've managed to snag a massive Broadspeed type discount via carwow from the same dealer I bought from 5 years ago.

Glad you went with Glam Coral. It'll definitely stand out more, being a recent addition to the range. Did you decide on leather interior in the end?

Sounds like you got a very good deal :) Did I read somewhere that the dealer had ordered a 105bhp TwinAir instead of the 85bhp? Are you sticking with that?

Yep, I've gone for leather again, no idea what it will look like (deja vu anyone?) :)
And you are correct, the dealer ordered the 105 instead of the 85. I ended up cancelling with them all together, there were various things that I wasn't happy with so I've now ordered elsewhere and so far so good. Actually in switching dealer I've ended up with a far better deal overall but obviously have gone back in the queue by a few weeks. But the money saved is worth an extra wait (y)

Oh brill. TwinAir Lounge with leather sounds lovely. Did you go for black or tobacco leather?

Oh yeah I don't blame you cancelling. You ordered an 85, you should get an 85. I'd not be too keen on the 105 even if they gave it to me for the price of the 85, as they seem to get a bit of negativity regarding poor running/starting on here, which the 85 doesn't seem to, at least not as much. Plus you like the Eco button iirc, and the 105 doesn't have it!

Good luck with this dealer. Least there's a bit of dealer choice in the East Mids? Back to your original dealer now?

Where can I buy it. I'll have it back on the road in a couple of weeks.

I've gone for the tobacco leather, I'm a fan of the ivory interior styling so it was the only choice for me. I've found a few photos with the coral / tobacco leather combo here http://indianautosblog.com/2015/11/2016-fiat-500-facelift-2015-dubai-live-202422 so I'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

That'll look really smart I reckon. It's a shame they no longer do the tan leather like you used to have, as I thought that was really nice, but I dunno if tan would go with Glam Coral anyway, so probably not missing much!

Seeing quite a few new 500's (65 & 16 plate) on the roads now. A couple of Glam Coral, but the vast majority are Smooth Mint and Bossa Nova White, so probably a good move going for Glam Coral instead of the Smooth Mint! Not sure why so many buy white ones - I don't think it suits the facelifted 500 (especially the Lounge) very well at all. Probably popular because it's free paint!

Hi Flojo those seats in the picture look more ivory than tabacco? I've just order tabacco leather on my wife's 500c and there a brown colour? Must be different for each market?

I think it's just the lighting in the photos, if you look at the door trim on a couple of the photos it's definitely a brown colour. I've looked at other cars with the tobacco leather and it looks fine to me, now as Liam said above, I'm not sure sure that the tan leath I used to have would've worked!
I'm also fairly certain that Fiat wouldn't be displaying a car at a car show which wasn't available as a factory order spec. I probably could've enquired about aftermarket leather but didn't think abou doing that at the point of order.
