Hi. I am looking at buying myself a Fiat 500 Giardineria.

Before I do so I'd like to ask for someone's help.

Does the Giardineria just have a classic Fiat 500 engine in it but it is just tilted on its side?

Where is the best place to order parts for Giardineria's online?

Thank you for your help ?

It's similar but different not that many common parts which makes it bit harder to run and restore by all accounts. Search on here for suppliers but the 3 I commonly use are ricambio and van der Laan in Holland and axel gerstl in Germany. Google search them with fiat 500 alongside and you'll find them. UK suppliers, even with the euro £ train wreck are just too expensive to use regularly.
Go for it

I think from the doors back you can say they are different...
and cost more in that respect as there isn't the demand for panels..
the front is sort of mix of parts from different models depends what year and f it's Fiat or Autobianchi ...

great car... wish I had brought one before the prices started to rise..

The Giardineria is quite different to the normal 500, and not an awful lot is transferable. The engine is a FLAT twin (again, 499cc) with a totally different crankcase The brakes are the same as a 600 (wheels have the standard fiat bolt pattern of 98mm PCD). The chassis is 4 inches longer, and they only ever had 2 'suicide' doors. The engine can have the capacity increased to 652cc BUT NO MORE. Slightly lowered, with a decent set of wheels (they look good on Minilites) and a tuned 652cc engine in the back, they make for a great little run-about. Our run-about at Radbourne Racing was the van version of the 'Giardy'--and it had a Nardi 652cc engine/cam conversion--made a fantastic 'in-town' 'goffer' vehicle. A supplier who specialises in engine parts for the 'Giardy' is Torsten Hanenkamp,; his company is WWW.ilmotore.de My parents had a 'Giardy' when I was young teenager, great car, they went all over the place with it, including doing the 'recce' for the British Police team in the 'International Police Rally' in Belgium.
