Hi All,
just in the process of refurbishing the engine rear suspension. New spring and buffer installed but as I was about to put the new rubbers* in I noticed that they are 2 - 3mms shorter than the old ones. As far as I can see, using the shorter rubbers will result in lack of support and even allow metal to metal contact! I put the old ones back so I'm unsure whether tightening up the new ones would cause them to deform and take up the correct position.
Anyone come across this?
Regards
Viv
* In Oz 'rubber' means eraser or in this case a flanged sleeve made of product from the rubber tree.
