International autoparts is goo, as is Vicks, and bay less. as for the oil, the sticker in the door of my '79 from the factory says to use Agip, but i can afford it so i use, Mobile 5000, and its great, if you are going to race it id put 20/50 in it. the best parts ultimatly falls on your preferance. and what application you will use them for & what you want to spend. if you can find OEM parts thats great. good luck and have fun :)

In the UK the best place for any parts is the X1/9 specialists - they are all of comparable quality and really know their stuff. My favourite was Alternative Autos but I'm not sure they are still doing X1/9s any more.

In terms of oil a good semi-synthetic is whats needed as a minimum. A 10-40 or 15-50 is good for most situations unless there is serious wear in which case you need to invest in a high quality 20-50 (not the cheap stuff).
