After changing the long speedo cable I then notice the short one was also broke. Should I attach the small speedo cable to the back of the speedo first and then hope the other end goes through the hole to the front bonnet ? Is there a simple way to do this ?

Or is it a 2 man job, line up the speedo cable with the speedo connection the push the dash in while someone holds the far end of the cable ?
