Howdy, simple question, is there a specific way to set the headlamp motors so they pop up correctly? one of mine pops up fine about 3 or 4 times then stops, if I manually turn the knob a few turns it clunks and kicks back then works fine for 3 or 4 go's. Whats going on with it and am I being a pleb?

I had the same with mine when i had a x19 1500 5sp, the motors have a contact switch inside, i striped the motor down and cleaned the contacts on the switch and spayed with switch cleaner.
The switch in the motor tells the relay for that headlight when to operate,each headlight has it's own relay.

Or it could be a faulty diode, from memory there are two, one for up one for down.
They are welded to the headlamp motor and could be fixed by a competent auto electrician.
