I have to replace/repair the metal coolant tubes that run under the centre of my car. According to Haynes, I just cut the welds and replace the entire assembly, but I haven't been able to find one and I wonder if there is an alternative? Anyone got one lying around I can buy? Failing this I will use ordinary copper pipe and weld some kind of frame but there has to be an easier way....

Cheers,

Dave.

Get some plastic central heating pipe, cut the ends off the metal pipes, and slide the plastic pipes through.Forget trying to renew the metal pipes!

car on hoist angle grinder, gloves and goggles. Remove old leaking rusted steel pipes.
Replace with stainless steel pipes that never rust and radiator hoses at either end. New plastic coolant bottle helps too.
