If the transmission is stuck in 5th gear.. any suggestions?

I had this problem with my first X19, it had been off the road a while and the clutch stuck. Try starting it in 5th with the clutch down, then try again with it up. Try getting a few mates to rock the car back and forth.
Any thing really to free it off. Keep depressing the clutch pedal. I remember it took a while but it did free off.

i had same problem with an opel kadett rwd i jacked the back up pressed the clutch started the car let clutch out pess in out few times try to select other gears might unseize it then again make sure clutch is properly bled

Thanks for help guys. Removed the transmission and it appears to be stuck in 5th gear still. One indent ball is also stuck..

Have you tried taking off end cover and leaver fork selector up?
