Technical What coil do I need?

So this evening my car died on me halfway on my journey forcing me to call the RAC out. After a minite or two he decided that my coil was knackered. Now not long ago I had an lumenition ignition system added, so with this should I have a different coil to the original factory fitted one? If anyone could give me a clue as to what I'm doing I would be very grateful.

It should work with a standard coil but Lumenition do (or did) supply an uprated coil to go with the kit. Chances are your coil was struggling before fitting the kit and the extra load has pushed it over the edge...

Hi Alex, I had lumenition fitted a while back and had one of their 'megaspark'coils fitted as well. I bought it either from eurosport or alternative autos.
