I have started in on cleaning out the interior, what is the best way to remove the seats?

Pull seat forward as far as possible, undo two bolts holding rails, push back seat and just loosen front ones, seat will then slide and can be taken out without opening the front bolts fully, the rail has a slot milled into it. Hope this helps, Tony

That assumes it is the later type of seat with bolt-on rails. The earlier cars had the rails permanently welded to the floor. The seat can just slide straight off but is "restrained" by a spring under the seat that has to be disconnected first.

Seats removed along with carpet...driver side seat was completely rusted out...it came out in two pieces when I pulled it out. Found some rust areas under the carpet.
Next on the list is the console and dash.
