I've been looking for lowering springs for my 1980 X, but can't really find any..

Been looking at https://topgear.co.uk/acatalog/Fiat_Sports_Springs.php and it looks like the croma springs has the same ID: number as the spring jamex had earlier for the X. (120363)
So does this mean that I can buy lowering spring made for Croma/Thema 2.0/turbo and fit these on my X1/9?? Anyone tried this?

Best regards
Henrik

You could but don't expect the car to sit at the right height or handle anything like an X1/9 should.

The Croma is front heavy so you would want to put the front springs on the rear of an X1/9 and vice-versa but that in itself doesn't solve all the problems. The springs themselves are unlikely to be of the right length or a compatible spring rate as the Croma is quite a bit heavier than the X1/9.

Henrik,

I think you'll fnd that's an error on their web page. The correct Jamex part number for the X1/9 springs is 120026, and you won't be able to get them!

Cheers R
