The seats are not sliding forward even with the lever to release the lock is push up. It will move a little with hammer but will not disengage. Thanks for the help

Remove the spring first....

That was exactly the problem when I tried.

I tore up the seat and no spring. The seat wont seem to budge.

Just for information in case. There was a penny stuck in the rail that stop the seat from moving forward. Hope this will help someone else
