Just bought a '76 X1/9 from the original owner. low miles and clean.
I want to change out the struts and springs.
International Auto has KYB front struts and springs, but they said the rear struts are no longer available for this early model.
Any help or resource would be greatly appreciated.
Would you guys recommend front/rear swaybars???

It depends what you are after:
Comfortable road
Fast road
All out race

I have some specs for ARBs but for all out racing- its a fair bit of fabrication especially for the front end and finding proper mounting points. Some people attach them to the front reaction strut but this is not great practice.

I think a good set of shocks and springs would be good, and nice and simple to fit. Also you can mess up the handling with incorrect ARB specs!!

looking to restore the original ride, and/or improved road performance. This car is all original so I really do not want to do any body alterations.
I need to find rear struts. I was told i could change the rear strut perches and cones and then use 1980-83 rear struts.
what do you think.
