Have been making the rear UT hatch decal template around the window and rubber seal edge on the MK1 hatch today.
Will be going to the printers shortly to get this copied and made up in black textured vinyl the same that was used in one off my other posts for the door pillars.

sorry but it doesnt seem very clear to me what you are doing, are you making a black sticker to go round the window of your black tailgate?

seems pretty pointless to me, black paint looks better than black stickers.

its an 80s thing

Are you blind or what oldskool?
Iam making a template (THE WHITE TEMPLATE AROUND THE WINDOW EDGE IN THE TOP PIC)
Alot off MK1 Uno turbos had these on.

EXP the black decal around the window edge

If you want the original look from the factory that i do why not?
They used to be on the car (Yes even black UT`s) How can it look worse?These are original finishing touch from Fiat.
The body shop had to remove my decals for the full respray.Iam just putting them back!

Have now got the UT hatch decal cut and back from the printers.
They have copied my template i made in the first post i will be sticking this decal onto the MK1 Uno turbo hatch at the weekend.

I never knew the Uno Turbo came with such a decal. I guess 'ya learn something every day'...

Like 'oldskool' I'm not too bothered about missing out - the rubber strip around the window is enough, I'd rather that wasn't there

Yep good work! even tho i never replaced mine on the doors after the repaint, my golf has the same type of decal on the boot and they cost a bomb! Mint mk1! Ant!

Yeah tbh the one on your black tailgate looks a little out of place but on the red'n; suits it nicely.

Fine little touches these UTs had.

I wonder if you'd've, in 1989, given a Mk1 UT to Avanti's styling department, what they'd have done with it...

the white one on his black tailgate is a template! he's then sent the white template off to have the black OE stickers made.

keep up the good work mate, ignore the bad comments, its gonna look mint with the OE finishes on it! prob gonna do my rear mk1 boot the same

Started putting on the rear Uno turbo hatch decal on today.

Will be starting the two front windscreen pillars decals and bottom surround on the MK1 Uno turbo very soon.

This is the LH/RH front screen pillars and also the front pannel where the wiper motor arm is attached.
A BLACK textured or smoothed decal was used also some were painted on some mk1 turbos and basic models you may already still have this on your MK1 uno??
