When using the front screen washer switch should i automatcally get a wipe from the wiper motor?
I normaly have to wash screen and then use the switch to wipe screen.Have i got a fault somewhere or is this normal on the uno?

It is very normal and very practical - it lets you choose the amount of water you want to apply and the number of sweeps manually.

As has already been said, that's a normal thing. Don't find any problem with that myself.

Yes, I don't see the annoyance, personally...

Far more the opposite in other cars where the wiper tends to wipe all the washer liquid in one direction only, or where the jets spray at the moving wipers. Or, in cars like my Stilo, where the wipers go on to wipe a large number of times after the screen becomes dry. The Stilo has an even bigger problem in that the wipers leave a 'film' that takes a few seconds to clear, but this confuses the rain sensor which then switches the wipers to full-speed... I begin to miss the manual control of the Uno.

On the Uno, there is a switch for the washer motor. And a switch for the wiper. To tie the two functions together requires considerable complexity (timer, etc.) and so you're better off without, really. More useful to have a timer on the interior light and a light over the ignition key (a useful mod that you can do yourself).
