Every time i go round a bend or roundabout the oil warnig light comes on and oil preasure drops.
Have checked oil level and is correct so have i got a faulty sender unit or could it be something else?

Is this normal on mk1 uno turbo?

My oil light never comes on, maybe if i was you i'd replace the oil pressure switch, then if it still happens i'd check the wireing to the swicth just incase you have a loose wire.
But worst case is maybe you have a problem with the oil pick up pipe and it cant pick up enough oil when cornering..
I'd get this fault checked as soon as possible because low oil pressure is a sign of a knackerd engine, get it fixed before the engine gives up...;)

I had the same problem on a 1400 uno, turned out to be thatthe previouse owner hit a brick which dented the sump and breaking the pickup in half. I removed sump and replaced oilpump and bended sump right, on the 1400 and the turbo mk2 the pickup is part of the oilpump and canot be replaced seperately, don't know about the mk1 though.

I think when stripped my mk1 the pick up part of it as well. It looked like the head off a water can, you know those palm sized attachments, like a shower head...
