OK Uno's in the garage by itself. Pictures of panels up soon. Anything to say, people?

If I was to remove the runners that the seats slide backwards and forwards in, and take away the raised bit that the fronts of the seats bolt into... would the car's structural integrity be seriously comprimised?

ahoy bizza.

North London, Kilburn sorta area.
I might be able to stick the car outside my dad's house in Willesden (NW10), so I'll have an area to work on, too!

You cant chop out them mate that keeps the strength of the car, you will have to make up some thing to go accross in replace of this...

I'm in West London mate, not too far away and work in Wembly which is even closer to you, so keep a look out in those areas for me mate :D

Cheers Rob, might look into that but it'll probably be easier to just cut out a recess at the top of that, and mount the sliding frame to that, and then build a metal bracket at the back, or something.

Frosty how come I ain't ever seen ya? I ain't moved up yet but when my UT's on the road, if I'm living up there or not, we've gotta meet up. Decimate an Ace Cafe italian night or summat :)

Been thinking about sorting my UT out with two of these to go under the Golf GTi Mk4 seats I've got. Very stock-like, plus I can get em much lower on these. they're currently on normal UT subframes, but sit at least as high as the normal seats, if not 1/2 an inch higher.

You could use them in my old cavalier i welded them to my new seats it's a easy job but you just need to get it all measured up correctly..

Well, I'm good with all the measuring. Centering the seats, etc... I understand the importance of it all.

The welding sounds like a job for Rob!
