General Project mk1 going good

just get some nice 15's on it, I have OZ super leggeras on mine with 195/45/15 toyo proxy tr-1's and its mint! the wheels only weigh 4.7kg each which make them very light. If you are going to keep the standard wheels then get a set off a strada tc as they are exactly the same as the mk1 wheels but in 14".

dont remove the rear wiper it looks crap, i wanted to leave mine all standard so i didnt even de-lock mine nor did i change the indicators :)

dont even bother with finding some rust free doors as you wont find any, buy new ones, i bought brand new doors and wings for mine before it was sprayed, they didnt cost much, from fiat a wing was about 40 and a door about 80. well worth the money IMO.

have you thought about changing the rear bumper to a mk2 one? they are much better than the mk1's

Right so ive decided these alloys in 15" with a 45 profile, the wheels will be in white with red writing.
Lowered 40 mm with good shocks
De locked doors
Remove the handle on the boot and fit a punto wiper
Full respray in the same colour with 2 new doors, 2 new wings and bonnet
And the original graphics down the side they look old school cool
I think it will look great with all these mods then ill plan for the engine and brakes etc...

Impressive work Rob, where do you get time for all this work!

Well i work monday to friday 8 - 5 pm but when i get home i do a bit on the uno for a few hours then i go in and listen to the mrs moaning at me about how i should be spending more time and money on her... lol
My uno is in my garage on the side of my house so its easy, i think my uno is great no matter what any one says so i enjoy spending every spare min on it.
I painted the floor pans tonight and last nite i fitted the exhaust which i must say is great, its going in for a mot this week some time, then its being taken off the road for new doors, wings bonnet etc then a full respray after x mas.
So hopefully should be ready by spring... oh and my wheels will be here just before the end of december.
Im saving all my bits up and then when its painted im gonna fit the lot in one go, but i just had to fit the exhaust just to see what it sounds like...mint (y)

Looks nice lowered on standard wheels i think ? but the white one are better :D
