I buyed from ebay a uno turbo digital tacho (instrument panel). I noticed in my old device i had a tube coming from turbo to the panel, but this digital panel have no place to stash the turbo tube inside. my question is, how can i make/adapt the turbo tube to work on the digital instrument panel. i think this digital panel receives electric impulse from turbo, not like the old one which use a tube for readint the turbo presure. Thank you in advance for your answers.

I have no idea but i'll look at the digi dash i have in the garage later to see if i can see and solution but i'm not making any promises!

Tom

the digital dash has no vacumm input, just block it off, all you need to do is connect a earth wire to a the black wire on the back of the instrument panel and it all should work apart from the digital boost,

for the digital boost to work a wire from the instrument panel needs to connect to a wire off the ecu, dont ask me which as i dont know, i myself have a digital dash and am trying to find out how to wire the digital boost

If any of you know exactly what wire must be connected to the turbo, please write it here so i can do that myself too :)
Thank you all for your answers and hope to get solutions on my problem

In Haynes it's a wire that is marked: "Turbocharger operation waring light"

Is this the wire that is going to the digi dash  , it's not connected to anything, in the manual.

It's pin nr 22 on the ecu.

I don;t have the manual. Could you just make a picture of the ecu and of the pins there, and point the pin it should be connected to the turbo instrument panel ?

Thanks !

apparently its pin 22, but which wire it goes to on the digital dash is another thing,

I've attached a picture of the ecu for you, if you do get the digital boost to work will you please post up details for others so we all know how to do it.

Mark.

hi guys, think i know the answer already but has anyone found out how to wire the boost guage up yet? for that matter has anyone ever seen it working in another uno turbo? someone out there must know :bang:

as soon as i am going to make it work, be sure i'll post the solution here. i think that will be next month, then i will be putting the engine in the car and do all mods. in the mean time if you find anything, put it here, let us know :)

as i promiced, only mod you need to do to make the tacho / instrument panel work, is to connect a -12V ground / masse to the black wire in the back of the tacho ( there are 3 wires, black, red and white). then is powered on and work everything except the turbo presure. i hope i'll figure that out too.

Yes the digi dash needs a wire taking from the magnetti marelli ignition ECU as it has a MAP sensor to adjust ignition timing built in, Its not the turbo warning light pin tho, The haynes manual only covers Analogue dashes, you will need an original fiat manual to find the wire to the dash input but off the top of my head I cant remember which pin it is.
Good luck mate.

Sorry to be bringing back a very old thread, but has anyone managed to find out the solution to this problem??:worship:
