Is it possible?

I am just curious. I fiddled with my 1989 Mk1 45S wiring today while installing central locking system, and found "8 set 1989" printed on the fuse box. I cleverly  translated this as "8th of September 1989" :D
Taking into account that the part certainly spent some time in a warehouse and that AFAIK the production of Mk1s quit during October 1989, I must be having one of the very last Mk1s produced
If not VIN, does the "number for ordering the spares" provide the information?

Fiat don't even recognise my VIN number on their computer as my car is pre-1988  So even they probably wouldn't even be able to tell me the exact date of manufacture of my Uno...

When I was swapping wiring looms over last summer I found a sticker on one original section of mine that said something like July 1985. My car was first registered on the road in May 1986, so the wiring loom was already coming up to a year old before the car had even been on the road! It all still works though, which kind of lays to rest the myth of dodgy Fiat electrics. Mind you the Uno is rather simple in electrical layout, and it's all the better for it. Less to go wrong ;)

And (CZ)Enda, it does sound like you have must have a very late registered mk1. At least Fiat will recognise your VIN number as your car is post '88!
