I remember reading that a Uno owner (maybe unoboy or bushboy?) wants to get a different boot and get a spoiler.

I just saw an apron on ebay:

No idea what uno it fits or if it is of any use so don't hold me in a bad regard if you get it but don't like it/doesn't fit etc. please.

Rgds

yeah i did want a new bootlid (the mk1 turbo one with the spoiler) but the auction i won seems to have fallen through with no e-mail from the seller etc. shame. Might have been too much work anyway.

I already saw that spoiler thing but its kinda a bad angle to actually see what ital look like... Plus, if I take my old spoiler off Ill have to fill the roof where the holes were... and the bootlid needs a respray really... its a bit of a mess :(. Wonder if i might find one somewhere in black heh

Just thought it worth a try - I know nothing about these things and thought it might mean more to you and hence you might think it had a use!

Damn ebayers who don't play fair. I have bought maybe 60 things by now and only have 2 problems. One guy never sent me the item for 4 weeks and was a total freak when i phoned him:

"Can you send me the 50pence clock i paid for please?"
"I did"
"Ok, certificate of posting?"
"Can't find one, will send you another clock"
"Ok, thanks, when?"
"Now,"
"oh, you promise?"
"I already have sent one"
"no you haven't! I either want my money back *it was only a couple of quid but principle right??* or i want the clock?"
"you have no way of getting your money back, you come to me saying you have a ebay investigation on me and will leave bad feedback, you leave me bad feedback, i leave it you"
"That's not fair, i paid within seconds and you haven't sent me what i bought!"
"Life aint fair mate, you can't touch me, ebay can't paypal can't, the fecking FBI can't"

By this point I was trying not to laugh with my mate listening in worrying for this guy's sanity, eventually I got him to say he would send it and instead sent me a pocket knife (the other item he is making his pennies with on ebay) despite me reminding him 10 times over it was a clock on the phone call, then he emailed saying that it was a peace offering (ironic; a knife as a peace offering..!) and said the clock would come in a while, which it did a week later. All for a little crappy car clock for £1 less than halfords lol!

Secondly I bought a Pioneer in car CD player cheap and it didn't work, i sent it back and the guy claims he hasn't got it back and as i have no track and trace - just a standard parcels form - I have no proof so i can't claim anything back from him :( Total lost =£50. I should have thought he was dodgy when he told me how it works great etc. then didn't but i just assumed it was my wiring etc. and sent it back.

Ebay is great but sometimes it is hard to work out who are the good guys...

I was selling stuff on eBay once and made the mistake of not sending a mobile phone to the buyer by registered post. They requested standard as they didn't want to pay for registered. They claimed the phone never arrived and I had no proof of delivery. eBay closed my account and that was that.

Ah well, you live and learn.

This is going off topic a bit.

LOL, sorry. Do you have any advice on what I should do with the guy who hasn't give me the money back? Im only covered up to £28 I think with royal mail :(

Paul

yeah i was only joking heh. but yeah, contact ebay and see what they say. You might not get anything back tho cuase you didnt send it on recorded mail and so theres no proof that you sent it or that he recived it. Try getting in touch with royal mail to see if there is any way they can tell you whether it did get there or not. surly they keep a record of things somewhere

He lives in Kiddeminster and I live in Nottingham unfortunately. I try to keep my ebay and life separately. I don't like the way some people are on it. I didn't think about asking ebay (I will blame stress from exams...:S ) but thanks, I will do that.

I expect they will just say "Claim on your insurance with royal mail" but I didn't know until I went to ask about them losing it that I was only covered up to £20 or £28 (can't remember which, I was sure on the sheet it stated £20 but on the website £28) I might contact royal mail. Trouble is, when I sent it I got a cert. of posting for standard parcels with a number on and assumed it was a tracking number but apparently not, maybe royal mail can try and find out what is happening.

I think it could be the guy ripping me off, selling dodgy items then asking me to send back for refund then claiming he hasn't got it back yet hence keeps the money.

Cheers for the advice.

well if he didnt put "untested" in the description then ebay shoulkd sort it out as he lied in his description and so should be punished etc. contact them... If he did put untested them im affraid its your fault.

I used to do a bit of mobile djing and spent £100 on an "untested" lighting unit off ebay (usualy worth around £250... i only bought it cause it was so cheap). It came without a power cable and when i turned it on it literally caught fire and the fumes nearly choked me. i e-mailed gim back and he said that it was untested and so its my own fault. an e-mail to ebay also confirmed this as I was buying without knowing the condition of the item and so there was nothing they could do as the person never lied about its condition.

Its just a sellers way of getting out of telling you it doesnt work

It was definately written down as "used but perfect working condition" and "this item is used but in excellent condition and the fact it is used proves it works". I don't like buying anything as "untested" either unless I know enough about it to know a) what is probably wrong and b) how I can fix it.

Trouble is I have no proof that it didn't work do I? Except a cert. of postage saying that I sent SOMETHING to his address. Obviously this is stupid, why would I have sent it back and bought another one otherwise? I was suspicious when the casing was a little lose, i thought maybe it had been opened but refused to open it myself. Once I found it wasn't working I sent it back after a little fiddling with the wiring loom. I guess though, the item was faulty. Regardless of the fact royal mail lost it he owes me because it wasn't a correct description, problem is, how to prove it..?

Rgds and cheers for yoru help.
