I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY UNO TURBOS 1987year
IT HAVE CHANGED MY TRESHOLD AND EYEBROW, BUT THE RUST IS EVERYWHERE. IS THERE ANY NEW PRIMER TO PAINT MY RUSTY IRON???
I USE CLASSIC RED PRIMER...

rub it all down rub the rust away n get a paint job.

You can't just paint over the rust. You need to remove it completely.

thats wot i mean rub it off with abit of sand paper or whatever the car men use

I use this stuff simple called rust remover £18 a ltr, it contains xylene and other stuff no listed on bottle.
numbers on it are 007 and un1263 comes from Gramic Supplies 85 Magdalen street colchester essex co1 2la
phone 01206 765261.
I leave it on for a day then use an angle grinder with a wire brush attachment, metal comes up all shinny with no traces of rust.

this spring I will try rub the rust and paint the car again

If it's serious you'll have to chop off the bad parts and weld on new plates. It's a pity the older Uno's don't have any form for galvanisation. The rust will bubble again if it isn't removed properly.
