I'm contemplating the rebuild of my first car, my mk1 999cc 45 FIRE, that came off the road 2 years ago after failing it's MOT. I've had the car since I passed my test back in the murky past (1993) and it still runs fine today, just corrosion too close to the suspension.
My plan is to strip and completely re-do the car and do some moddifying along the way, although this last part seems to be the most awkward as the availability of parts seems quite limited. I was thinking of a few engine tweeks, induction kit and so on and then maybe a bodykit, spoiler, hood scoop etc.
The hood scoop is no problem as I'll fit that myself from a universal item, but what sort of bodykits are still available? What sort of available spoilers fit?
I wanted something a little more 'stand out' than the standard Uno spoiler which seems a little bland, but I don't particularly want a Boeing 747 wing attached either?
Also light modifications seem to be quite intersting these days. I'm not really bothered about lexus style things, but I did see light brows once for the Uno which looked quite good and maybe some brighter lighting......
Any suggestions on parts availability most gratefully received....now ,off to tear up the town in my new Panda...:D

60mm gmax drop (the only brand which lowers evenly front and back on an uno) and some tasty old-skool 14s would be my first two mods, nice and simple and tasteful!

Ive seen a mondeo estate rear spoiler on an uno and it looked quality!

And iirc bushboy has (or had) some mk1 abarth side skirts for sale (y)

Noticed a guy from Germany selling ORIGINAL ABARTH  kit recently on fleabay. The front spoiler, though, was not Abarth, but Ehrmann.
I do not know at which price it ended - I was afraid I would be too tempted to have it and it would probably end up in a cellar as I do not have time for anything but regular maintenance...
What I mean, I would not try to give the "retro" car "up-to-date" look and would try to use only those parts which were made and sold for the car while it was still in production, even if it means turning a few stones.
No angel eyes, no bad-boy looks and DEFINITELY no blue LEDs :yuck: for me.
P.S. I hope you meant the "real" Panda, not the "New" one :D :D :D

Sorry, it's the new Panda, but I don't apologise as it's a nice little motor. I wasn't too impressed with the old type, I had one as a coutesy car when the Uno went into the garage once many moons ago, and the Uno was real luxury when I got it back again! I may however be tempted by a mk1 4x4 one day (as long as I fit aftermarket seats!)

I don't think I'll be going too over the top on it as I've seen some quite sad small hatchbacks around lately pretending to be Skylines, and it doesn't work too well...
We'll just see how it goes. My main priority is to get my old motor back in the road in good condition rather than seeing it disintegrate into nothingness as it was a fantastic little motor, it still even starts first time!

What sort of money are you looking for? I may be interested, even though I should start the main work first before I get too carried away with the designs.
