Hello, I have a Fiat Uno 1.1ie and the valve that's supposed to let the fuel in to the engine in the carburetor does not open and so the engine isn't getting any fuel. Does anyone know what the problem could be. P.s. The car has been sitting for over a year since it last started.
Thank you for any information

You say 1.1ie as in Fuel Injection

What you think is a carburettor is probably a Single Point Injection (SPI) throttle body.

Is the fuel pump running? With injection systems the pump runs 100% of the time and fuel not used is normally returned to the tank via a pressure regulator valve.

You need to check if fuel is getting to the SPI unit and work from there? With SPI units the running pressure is generally low as the SPI also relies on the carburettor venturi effect to draw fuel/air mixture vapour into the manifold.
