Fuel pump oil leak

Hi guys,

New here. I have heavy oil leak. Took the 1100 Uno to mech and he says it is the fuel pump that must be replaced. Can this be so? Must the whole pump be replaced? Is it not just the rubber seal where the pump screws onto the head that needs replacing? There is indeed oil coming out from there but do I have to replace the whole pump?I have no other probs with the fuel pump.

Also, is replacing right the lower ball joint a pain?

Thanks!

Re: Fuel pump oil leak

Update

The fuel pump just needed a new gasket. That solved the problem. Saved $$$$$!
