I'm still having a problem with my Uno and I can't figure it out. The car is a 1996 Uno Fire 1100 with the Weber 32TLF carburettor. I have just fitted a new water pump, thermostat and temperature sender. My problem is when the engine is cold and has been standing overnight. The temperatures here don't get very low and the car is garaged. Normally when I start the car from cold I will give it a small amount of choke (manual) and the engine will imediately fire up and run staedily at, say 1500rpm or so. The choke can be returned after a minute or so and the engine will idle perfectly. However, currenlt I set the choke and the engine starts easily enough but it hunts and missfires and then will stall unless I apply more choke to increase the revs. When I apply the smallest amount of throttle the engine missfires and cuts out. Once the engine is warm, after about 6 or 7 km's everything returns to perfect. I have read several posts which mention the engine temperature sensor but I really can't see this as a problem. There is only one electrical connection to the carburettor and that's for the fuel cut off solenoid. I will really appreciate any advice you may have. I have owned the car for 20 years and never had a problem with it.

Your description is pretty vague. A lot can cause the misfire. Does the idle decrease or is it always about the same? Anything else strange or unusual you've noticed?
