I've owned my 1996 Uno 1100 Fire for over 20 years and it's been a very reliable and enjoyable little car. Recently I've spent quite a bit of money on it including a new clutch, new wheel bearings, CV joints, steering joints, lower control arm joints, new shocks all round, new distributor, new water pump, new engine temperature sender. The car runs beautifully apart from a problem when starting from cold. This happened after the engine overheated due to a core plug failure. I caught it very quickly and there's no apparent damage. Since then when starting from cold the engine fires up immediately but there's a misfire at very small throttle openings. Otherwise when applying more throttle the misfire disappears and the engine is smooth. Once the engine has warmed up this misfire disappears and the car idles smoothly at around 800rpm. I've checked all the carburettor connections and there doesn't appear to be any air leaks. I would suspect the ignition module but as this seems to be fuel related I don't think it can be this. I'm a bit stumped at the moment and I would appreciate any advice you may have as I doubt this is the first time this has happened to an Uno. Thanks for your help.
