Hello All

Does anyone here have experience of removing the (Lucas) diesel injector pump from the 1.7L diesel engine in the Uno / Fiorino?

Any advice or links would be appreciated. I can see two nuts holding it on, is there a third one underneath? It's a bit black and oily down there, can't see much.

Also, the cog that is turned by the cambelt would have to come off - is it just the big nut that holds it in place?

Many thanks in advance, as always

It seems that there is something holding the cog onto the shaft, like a circlip.

Hi Peter

Many apologies for the delay in responding. Have had non-Fiat things to do. Will try some WD40. Don't want to break anything, a diesel pump is worth having, even if Lucas made it

You're quite right there. However, I managed to remove the cog. It has a conical joint on the inside. Removal of the cog means that the head of the third Allen bolt to the pump becomes visible. Looks easyish from now on.
