His there all Uno peeps,

I am from south Africa and I have a '94 Uno, not too sure on whether it's a mk2 or 1 or whether it's a Mia/fire/tempo etc.

I'm not a mechanic, but do have a mechanical background
So here is the problem,
**my Uno jus doesn't want to start at all.**

A few weeks ago, I was battling to start her and couldn't understand why so I checked the oil first and saw she needed it ASAP as it was rather empty.
So I put oil in, but still nothing... Sigh....

So I went through the basics like;
Spark,
Fuel,
Air,
Etc,

I have had problems before, with the same car and ignition module which is on the distributor, where it doesn't give spark at all and naturally the car has to cool down before I can go again. I have replaced the ignition module after finding another and then she was going fine, I was also alerted that the modules are a rather common item to go on these types of cars, nevertheless moving along...

I tried towing the car to try and get her to start, but no luck....
Once we have a rather good speed it seems as though she wants to start and as soon as it seems like it's about to start it gives off a backfire.. .

I have now replaced the ignition module again [BRAND NEW] and still no luck.

I am confused and pretty much fed up...

IF THERE IS ANYONE THAT CAN PLEASE HELP, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT VERY VERY VERY MUCH

Thank you in advance to all who have read this....

To be honest, it sounds like a sensor at fault. The crankshaft sensor / MAP are the usual culprits.

Can you get a workshop to do a diagnostic test for you? That will identify the fault quite quickly. It'll save a lot of time and effort just messing around..

Diagnostic test like hook it up to a ? and check it?

The Uno doesn't have a Computer box.

Have put put the spark plug wires on in wrong order before replacing ignition module?
Rotor arm , if it has one, they do fail.
Distributor cap,if it has one, inside centre carbon contact that touches rotor arm?
Fuel pump?
Ignition coil?

The spark plug wires weren't touched at all, and checked all others mentioned, all seems fine

Check for a good spark at each spark plug lead.
If you get a spark from HT lead that goes from HT coil to centre of distributor cap but then no spark at each HT lead that goes to spark plug the problem is likely to be rotor arm.

Rotor arm failure is most often invisible .

How did you check fuel pump?

Sorry if this is going over things you have already done but it's worth it to not miss anything out.
