Any one here know how to get the gear nob of a 1.0 i.e. as the book don't show now't. and I cant un screw it.

Actually you'd bette forget it. You can chop off the stick and glue another knob on to it. Result - shorter gearstick. There is another thread on the Uno forum that covers this.

Other than hack the stick there is no other way. It's moulded plastic I'm afraid.

Sorted,

un bolted outer sleave, carfully removed rubber nob. cut top off plastic, then after replacing outer sleave I attached new nob to metal inner shaft. looks great (well as good as a custom nob can) and works OK, but have to push lower shaft seperate from nob to use reverse.
