yes, theres a y10 out there with a lancia delta turbo engine in (saw it in an independant alfa/lancia workshop in south harrow), and another with the full 4x4 running gear too (yintegrale, i think that was evo engineering)

It's a brazilain engine majorly flawed by the crap Carb it uses!

And it's a 1049cc i can get lots of pics of the one sat in my garage or alternatevly turn up on my doorsetep with a trailor and 750quid an it's yours :D

Why wud I need a trailer? Has it got no mot or does it just not run? I had a y10 turbo a couple of yrs ago and wouldnt mind another...

There was also a Y10 GT i.e. available, that used a fuel injected 1.3 litre engine. It superceeded the turbo version, and had pretty much the same performance but was a lot more reliable.

However, if you already have a FIRE engined Y10, then you could always fit one of those low boost turbo charger kits like a lot of the Cinq/ Seicento owners have done.

GTie is a lot slower than a turbo. gtie does 0-60 in about 13 sec compared with under 9 secs with a turbo. Deffo more reliable though!

I don't have any performance figures for the Y10, but I would have thought the 1.3 GTie would be quicker than 13 seconds?

The Uno SX with a 1.3 carburetor engine was listed as 11 seconds 0-60, so surely the lighter Y10 GTie with fuel injection would be quicker than that?

Just looked up the figures and the official lancia 0-60 time for the y10 gtie is 12.0 seconds, while the 0-100kph for the y10 turbo is 9.5 seconds. Having driven a y10 turbo i would say its prob more like 8.5 seconds, so maybe these figures are a bit conservative. I think a cinquecento sporting does 0-60 in about 11 or 12 seconds, and thats only a 1.1

Has anyone out there driven both y10s?? maybe you can tell us what's what?

I would say unless it's for a daily driver go for the Turbo everytime although you don't get the electric rear windows.lol

Also they are so easily tuneable it's silly with just a decent exhaust system induction kit and bleed valave they have been known to make 115bhp + on the rollers :D

My Y10- Basically I can't afford to get it running right and use it everyday but am also in no rush to sell it as I don't want it going to some idiot who writes it off after 2hours of driving it because they can'e drive a real car.

The only problems it has is just actually getting the carb set up right then things that need doing where it's been stood up like brakes and tyres...

Very tempted but ive got 3 cars at the moment, and at least 2 of them are gona have to go before i can get anything else! Let me know if anyone makes u an offer on it though ;)
