Has anyone fitted a mk1 tailgate to a mk2?

Yes it will fit, but you need to change the hinge bits IIRC. Has been asked before so a quick search shall provail all

yes it will fit but you will need to change the hinges, the rear lights for mk1 lights, the parcel shelf and poss the wiper motor as well as the bits that hold up the parcelshelf on the sides of the car.

you may also have to move the elctrical connections that provide power to the boot. Im not sure if they are in the same place or not.

plus the mk1 UT boot lid is fibreglass, with moulded in spoiler. plus the white/red rear clusters look mint!!

check duncs gallery for the pics and youll see how awesom it does actually look when done

as luke said, the hatch will fit but u'll need the parts mentioned above
