I have a Uno Mia 1.1 1999 model with 132000 km on the clock. Fitted with a mechanical fuel pump. The fuel pump has now stopped working. \i have disconnected the feed to the carburetor and cranked the car and no fuel came through the fuel pump. I also disconnected the fuel filter and emptied it and reconnected it again. I cranked the vehicle again and no fuel came into the filter again. so I know for sure it has to be the fuel pump. I am considering fitting an electrical fuel pump but I need to know what size and type of fuel pump will be ideal for this engine as i do not want to fit a pump that pumps too weak or to strong which will subsequently supply too little or too much fuel. I really hope to get some advice on this.

Hi, and welcome to FF,

have a look in the classic panda for options of replacement pumps ( same basic FIRE engine),
apparently the lobe on the camshaft.. that drives the pump can wear away..,
